To Bloom Poem
You were not always so fragile.
Carefully contained in your zone of comfort.
Blessed with all life has given to thrive.
Unfortunately, life also gives shape.
It was not long before you were laid bare.
Forced to bloom before you expected to.
Made fragile in a beautiful way.
Like sea glass scattered on a beach.
But you are not meant to persist like those small rounded fragments.
So as you lay there exposed to the world, you fear.
That you are fated to fade before you are ready.
Life a strange dream of beauty and tragedy.
For now however, you remain in bloom.
Beauty that might grant a chance to start anew.
