A Demonic Sighting 1
In the theme of it being almost Halloween, I thought I would recount one of the scariest encounters from my life.
Now, a lot of people have claimed to see stuff in life. Some are liars and others misjudge the situation and confuse phenomenon with the paranormal. I can assure you that this time is not either of those. Moreover this is a first hand experience. I did not and would never have sought it out either.
I do not hold the traditional belief in ghosts. To be specific, I do not believe that people can be held in limbo on earth. I think they either go straight to heaven or hell very soon after death. Everything else that hangs around is demonic and usually pretending to be certain people. Demons are immortal and have so much time to hang out and learn facts about people. Enough to get away with simple mimicry. This accounting just helped to solidify the existence of demons for me.
I am not what would be considered sensitive to the paranormal. I have however had a few encounters in my own house that were. It is a fairly new house with my family being the second one to live in it after the first one moved out. No deaths on the property. Just a simple single story family house.
At the time I was probably around the age of nine. What my mom would do at the time was wake me up, put me on my back, go make up my morning medicine, and finish up by opening the blinds. I was on my back and fully awake. I have no history of dreams and reality overlapping or seeing things. Fully alert by the time my mother came back into the room.
Everything seemed normal up until the point she crossed the room to open the blinds. As she crossed she let the door to my room swing shut behind her.
Then I saw it.
In the impossibly skinny gap behind where the door had been was a shapeless mass. Perhaps mass is not the correct word. More like a void the size of a very large dog that had zero features. It had been pressed up behind the door like some kind of strange lurking insect that loves the dark.
I felt a different kind of fear the moment I saw it. Like I was in mortal danger. Frozen stiff like a statue and afraid to even make direct eye contact with it. I did not understand what evil felt like until that day.
Before I could do anything else, it rushed me with inhuman speed. Crossing my bedroom in less than two seconds.
Scared, I shut my eyes tight. Just like any other kid might. I whispered a prayer under my breath. I do not know how long I was like that though it was probably only seconds. What I do know is when my eyes opened again, it had vanished.
It wanted to hurt me. I know it wanted me dead. I could feel it.
And the worst part? My mom had her back towards it the entire time. She saw nothing.
