I Get It Now Poem
I understand why people take on difficult struggles.
Challenges that are sure to bring frustration.
That do not feel fair.
A chance of victory but very small.
Against those that do not have your best interests in mind.
Though they should.
***
Everything was stacked against me.
Loopholes I did not know used.
No care put forward when I needed them to.
Tears shed and hair pulled from my head in frustration.
Knowing that they wanted me to give up.
Knowing that they would stall as long as possible.
***
I was worried that I might fail.
All the effort going absolutely nowhere.
More hopes distroyed without a lack of trying.
A wall that I was just hitting my head against for no reason.
Only hurting myself in the process.
My own blood and effort the only result.
***
But then victory came.
I won and understood the truth of the struggle.
That sometimes slamming my head against a wall might create a door.
A way forward for myself and others.
That they might not have to struggle as hard as I did.
And it made the struggle all the sweeter.
