Royal Tea Garden

Location: 163 Neal St, Pleasanton, CA
Accessible: Yes (with alternative entrance)
I have been here twice; once for a bridal shower and again for my birthday. The front entrance has steps but entering through the mini garden allowed entry without steps (even if just a bit bumpy). Staff is very friendly and attentive. Food is delicious and freshly made. The amount of tea options will blow the mind of a non tea drinker and excite those that do. This is the location that got me hooked on tea and I am partial to their “almond joy” black tea. Prices are expensive but completely worth it for the rare event. Sit downs are reservation only but you can order tins of their loose leaf tea anytime that they are open without notice. Any food you don’t eat there, you can bring home and everything is available with gluten free options. My only main issue is that they have a set time limit for sit downs. The maximum you can stay is an hour and a half. As someone who can sometimes have swallowing issues and is a slow eater and drinker anyways, I felt rushed. By no means did I not get my money’s worth but I feel like reasonable accommodation should be made. At least if the disabled party is the only one booked for the day as me and my mother were the last time.
